This Privacy Policy explains how Let's Playdate, a Melbourne-based business ("we", "us"), handles personal information collected through the Let's Playdate website and app ("Service"), in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

1. Kinds of information we collect

• Account/waitlist details name, email, login credentials.
• Family profile children's ages, suburb, budget, and preferences you choose to add.
• Usage data searches, filters, saved/visited events, general app activity.
• Technical data IP address, device/browser info, analytics.
• AI Plan prompts what you ask our AI planner, logged for quality and cost monitoring.

We don't store Google review text only the numeric rating, sourced from a third-party data provider.

2. How we collect it

Directly from you (sign-up, profile setup, support enquiries), automatically as you use the Service (cookies, analytics), and from third-party services we integrate with (e.g. Google Places).

3. Purposes how we use and disclose it

We use personal information to run and personalise the Service, communicate with you (waitlist updates, service notices, opt-out marketing), and meet legal obligations.

We disclose information only to: service providers who help run the Service (hosting, analytics, email, AI providers), professional advisers, regulators where required by law, or a buyer in a business sale.

We don't sell your personal information, however share aggregated market data to third parties' own marketing. If that ever changes, we'll update this Policy and tell you before it applies to your information.

Some listings are sponsored or featured by providers who pay for promotion, and some outbound links may earn us a referral or affiliate commission. This doesn't involve disclosing your personal information to that provider beyond what an ordinary click-through already reveals (e.g. referral traffic via a standard link), and it never affects which listings are accurate see our Terms & Conditions for how sponsored content is labelled.

4. AI features

AI Plan responses are generated only from our own catalogue. Prompts may be processed by a third-party AI provider solely to generate your response. Avoid including sensitive information in prompts.

5. Overseas disclosure

Some service providers (e.g. cloud hosting, AI providers) may store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients protect your data consistently with the APPs.

6. Security & retention

We take reasonable technical steps to protect personal information but can't guarantee absolute security. We keep information only as long as reasonably needed, then delete or de-identify it.

7. Access, correction & complaints

You may request access to, or correction of, your personal information, or withdraw marketing consent, by contacting [email protected]. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can lodge a complaint with us at the same address; if unresolved, you may complain to the OAIC (oaic.gov.au).

8. Cookies

We use cookies to operate the Service and understand usage. You can manage these via your browser settings.

9. Children's privacy

The Service is intended for use by adults on behalf of their family. We don't knowingly collect information directly from children; any child information is provided by the adult account holder.
